Media-Spa Therapy is a term we use to describe treatments that are designed to treat and heal the physical self but feel spa like in nature. Our spa treatment room is a warm and cozy sanctuary filled with soft music and healing touch. While swaddled in soft linens and blankets your body will relax, your mind will go someplace quiet and the world will slow down. Some of these treatments are specifically dedicated to help you achieve beauty naturally, organically and most importantly safely. This is the perfect place to seek out relaxation and recharge your cells. Discover, in our therapists hands, healing for the physical, emotional and spiritual self.
Reflexology with Karena
"Reflexology is considered a natural complementary therapy", it is excellent in conjunction with your chiropractor adjustment or massage!
Therapeutic Facial Reflexology:
Facial reflexology is a combination of health & beauty. While using handcrafted sustainable multi-reflex tools we draw upon the multiple diagrams and reflection points of the face created by Dien Chan. We use these to rebalance the system while also to beautifying the skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles, tightening the skin as well as rehydrating and refreshing.
- Sessions are 45-60 minutes long and performed while you lay on a massage table.
Reflexology is a natural healing art that is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands, and ears, which correspond to every part, gland, and organ of the body. By applying specific pressure using thumb, finger and hand techniques, reflexology reduces tension, improves circulation, and promotes the natural functioning of the related areas of the body.
- Sessions are 45-60 minutes long while you lay comfortable on a massage table or zero gravity recliner.
"According to the American Journal of Medicine, stress is known to cause over 80% of all illnesses. Reflexology reduces stress automatically during a session, which causes chemical changes to occur at the cellular level throughout the body. Through systematic pressure and stimulation of these reflexes, the body is assisted to return to natural functioning. In the process endorphins (natural pain-killers) are released, para-sympathetic relaxation of the nervous system takes place, increased blood and lymphatic circulation results in a rise in oxygen and immune levels all of which helps to restore balance to all the systems of the body." - Linda Hughan,CRR/RMT, former RAC Education Coordinator
